Best places to live in Grenada

From the beach corridor to the hills above the harbour to the quiet north — where different people end up, and why.

Short answer

most newcomers settle in the south-west parish of St. George — Lance aux Epines for quiet and convenience, Grand Anse for the beach and shops, True Blue for the university, Egmont/Fort Jeudy/Calivigny for views and space. Westerhall suits privacy; the hills above St. George’s suit families; Levera and Carriacou suit those who want real quiet.

If you want convenience and quiet

Lance aux Epines. Five minutes to the airport and university, ten to the beach, leafy and residential. The trade-off is price and scarce land.

If you want the beach on foot

Grand Anse and Morne Rouge. Everything is walkable and the bus is constant. Livelier, more apartments than villas.

If you want views and space

Egmont, Fort Jeudy and Calivigny. Peninsulas, marinas, gated estates and building lots. You will drive everywhere and love the drive.

If you want privacy

Westerhall Point — gated, mature, waterfront — and the rural bays of St. David beyond it.

If you want a Grenadian neighbourhood

Belmont, Marian and the ridges above St. George’s: family homes, harbour views, ten minutes from everything, priced for locals.

If you want to get away from it all

Levera and Bathway in the north, or Carriacou. Beautiful, affordable, an hour or a ferry from the south.
